This is a basic map of the path I am following with GAP Adventures for 15 days, and I guess Kathmandu is already done. I was going to pull this out of my hat earlier, sorry.
Anyway, the power stayed off all night, and many of the businesses run generators here, the hotel has limited lighting. After dinner the night before, Monday, I woke up at 530am yesterday to banging on the door, the Nepali wake up service, as it was time to climb up Semongorrah, which I am sure I have spelled wrong. This side of the Himalayas is known as the Annapurna range, and it it was what we had to climb up to see. The sun itself not the attraction but its reflection on the mountains.

It was pretty foggy this morning, unlike the following day when we left Pokhara, when the view from this climb would have been superlative. From the road it looked pretty hot even.... I guess I can get some detail with digital trickery when I get home :)

On the way down, we stopped to rest the weary legs for breakfast. And spent the rest of the day lazing around in Pokhara.

The town of Pokhara sots on a lake. In the clear winter air of November the mountain range can be reflected on the lake surface.

The group I am with is below:

I spent several hours trying to find Cordyceps Sinensis, the mushroom that grows on the caterpillar. In this region and Tibet is where it is found, mainly Tibet, but I had hopes. They said it sometimes comes through town, but not now :( Not the right season.
All in all a pretty lazy day after the many hours hiking up and down to see the Annapurna mountains. Increible how much North Face brand stuff is here, all fake from China, and from what I see the good ones are pretty darn good fakes too. No, didn't buy.
Several people felt "off" here I guess you cannot call it Delhi Belly as we are not even close.
Touch wood, my tummy is OK...
And that's Pokhara!
